Shakib Al Hasan is also out of the IPL after New Zealand's skipper Kane Williamson.

Shakib Al Hasan, the captain of Bangladesh, missed the Indian Premier League (IPL) because of the home series.

Shakib Al Hasan has notified his franchise Kolkata Knight Riders of his desire to withdraw from the IPL owing to Bangladesh representation and personal concerns, according to a Cricinfo report. The franchisee will start the search for their replacement after getting management's approval.

Both players are on the team to participate in the lone test match against Ireland. Wicketkeeper-batsman Liton Das already missed the opening match of Punjab Kings owing to the home series against Ireland.

On the other side, Ireland will host Bangladesh in three one-day internationals on May 9, 12, and 14.

It should be remembered that Kane Williamson, the captain of New Zealand, suffered an injury in the IPL opener and was forced to withdraw from the competition. The board is also concerned about the senior cricketer's injury prior to the World Cup.
